In The Animal School, I find this to be very relatable. I think that students shouldn't have to take general education classes that aren't going to be beneficial to them in their lives and careers. For instance, I have to take two history classes, my worst subject in school, even though I want to be a kindergarten teacher and will never need to know the information from the class or use it in my everyday life. I think it's a waste of time and money for students to take classes that they don't really need and don't focus on their strengths and skills. Having students take classes that require skills they don't have can cause them to do worse in classes they normally are good at and enjoy because of stressing out.
In the Honest College Ad, I found it to be funny but yet disturbing. It's sad how much of it is true and how much ads exaggerate about the truth of college life and experiences. I think it made me take a second look at how much I've taken advantage of everything college has to offer and remember that my family and I are putting a lot of money into my education and I don't want to forget what I came here for. Though a lot of the ad was true, it's all about how you embrace what you're given and take advantage of what there is to offer in school. Having a positive attitude towards college and having good priorities can make a college experience better. It's not all that bad when you come into school with the right intentions and mindset.
